Please don’t let these photos fool you, I have experienced many trials through life to get here but through those trials the Lord has blessed me.

I have had a desire to write for years but never knew what about. September 21, 2021 before a spin class my purse was stolen from the front seat of my car, right in front of me. I ran after the guy that stole it (don’t do what I did!) and eventually thanks to help of the BHM PD and a few wonderful women who were there to help me I got my purse and some of the contents back.

After that event, I went back to spin classes because I couldn’t let that guy take that from me and every time I would do a sprint I would run after the guy in my head. I finally went back to the class time where I had been robbed and in the midst of a sprint God spoke to me and asked why don’t you run after me the way you ran after that guy with your possession? Talk about a gut check.

From there the desire to write grew stronger. I have been praying about this for over a year and finally kept getting the nudge from the Lord and started this blog. Through every hardship there has been something inside of me that has given me strength to persevere. The Lord has been with me through every mistake, trial and happy moments of my life and he is with you too.

This blog is called the fire within because the Lord placed a fire in my heart when he created me that fire reminds me to keep fighting, to be better, to try harder and never give up. I want to use this blog to remind whoever comes across it that God is always with you and He gave you your own fire within you to overcome obstacles and enjoy life.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trails of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” James 1:2-3

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalms 34:18

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
